Consignment Information

Rate of Commission

• Each article selling for over $500. - 10%
• Each article selling for $50 to $500. - 20%
• Each article selling for less than $50. - 30%

* Commission rates can be lower for large quality consignments or high value items.

Commission Includes

• All unpacking, handling and display of personal property at the Auction.
• All advertising, including newspapers and mailed brochures.
• Preview day for weekly auctions and specialty auctions.
• Guaranteed payment to the seller, payment made within ten banking days following completion of the consignment.
• Computer print-out showing the items sold and the prices realized.

Trucking facilities are available. A trucking charge is made on a time basis, portal-to-portal.

Weekly Auctions are conducted at Conestoga Auction each Tuesday starting at 10:00 A.M. with preview beginning at 8:30 A.M. These auctions include general merchandise, appliances, furniture and housewares.

Antique Auctions are held periodically with dates and times to be determined by Conestoga Auction Co.

Specialty Auctions are scheduled for dates other than the weekly Tuesday and periodic antique auctions and are held for large estates and large single owner collections.

Insurance coverage

For consignments with a total value of $5,000.00 and more, coverage is available at an additional charge. However, most quality homeowner’s insurance agents will cover that amount off premises. Please check with your agent.

Consignment receiving is on Wednesday between 1:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. Any other times are by appointment only. Appointments may be made by calling the office at (717) 898-7284.

In addition to the above seller's commission, a 10% Buyer's Premium is charged at Conestoga Auction.
